Aarhus Ø is a new part of the city located on the island in the Docklands of the old container harbour. The area is expected to become a residence for 12000 people and it is one of the biggest harbour development projects in Europe. It is a beautiful and modern part of Aarhus, filled with notable buildings such as the Iceberg, AARhus, Nicolinehus, The Lighthouse and The Ship, as well as many other attractions. From Old Harbour to Modern Neighbourhood Our walking tour starts at Dokk 1, the city of Aarhus multimedia center and an architecture marvel. We walk along the coastline and discover the Dome, Navitas and Bestseller building. Each represents a very strong and characteristic side of Danish society. From there, we walk over to Nicolinehus, another residential building with a distinctive sail-like design. It houses apartments, offices, and retail spaces and is a great example of modern architecture. It offers stunning views of the harbour and is a popular spot for residents and tourists alike thanks to it's multipurpose functionality. Cutting-edge architecture solutions Next, we head over to AARhus, the building itself is a work of art, with its unique cutting-edge design. After that we reach the Iceberg, a stunning award-winning residential complex that is designed to look like floating icebergs in the water. The building has won several architectural awards and is definitely worth a visit. As we continue our walk, we find ourselves next to the tallest building in Denmark, the Lighthouse. There is an automatic parking next to the meeting point. It is located on the ground level of Dokk1.

The Aarhus Ø neighbourhood is the most attractive and modern area of the city, you do not have to be an architecture nerd to enjoy it. Our tour is not based on dry facts or boring numbers, it all about interesting insights, storytelling and humor.
Is this tour suitable for children?
The tours we provide are family friendly and toddlers in strollers are welcome. Please kindly inform us at the time of the reservation that you are attending with children. Kids uptown 18 years old can come free of charge if accompanied by an adult.
